 2 Day Shibari Immersion from May 3rd & 4th

This class is for beginners and those who wish to expand their tool box in the realms of communication, touch, energetics, mood, and creativity!

Shibari is the Japanese Art of tying the human body in rope. It is a game, a dance, a scene, a moment in time to share an experience with another person in a unique and powerful way. Shibari is a gateway to connection.   Both the person tying and the one being tied can receive something special from the experience.  Be it more information about themselves, their desires, their curiosity, a new sensation in the body, relaxation, joy, excitement, maybe it shows you fears and struggles. This is the magic and mystery of the ropes. The endless possibilities for what can be felt and experienced.

In addition to teaching technical Shibari skills, I also call to attention an understanding of polarity.  We embody the energetic roles of masculine and feminine, yang and yin, leader and follower.  Through this embodiment we are able to see our strengths and vulnerabilities within each side of the polarity.  What is felt becomes known and can be transformed.  

Most importantly, my classes bring your knowledge and communication skills that emphasize and transcend the Shibari space.  The communication tools transmitted are for day to day life, relationship, intimacy, partnership, and relating.  Shibari brings forth a unique vulnerability that requires us to speak more intentionally and articulately about our needs, wants, desires, fears, and boundaries for our safety.  Becoming confident in these skills will transform how you relate to others and give you the confidence and vocabulary to deepen your connections.

~Polarity Embodiment: Masculine & Feminine, Top & Bottom, Dominate & Submissive

~ A solid foundation of Rope Communication, Boundaries, Consent, IISSPP (a powerful acronym to help you articulate your desires, do's, & don'ts in a detailed way), and Star Check-in System. These skills will set the stage for the magic to take place by creating a safe space to explore.

This class is designed for anyone, couples or singles. In the class, we will be working in pairs the entire time. Invite your friend, lover, neighbor, or partner to explore with during the workshop.  There will be an opportunity to partner with others in the class who come solo.  This is a nice option to meet and connect with someone new.
