Each day, explore the profound Art of Shibari as we journey through distinct themes and moods, blending technical skill with deep, meaningful connection. Through authentic relating, conscious communication, and unique connection; you’ll discover the subtle interplay of trust, sensuality, and creativity.  Prompting a deeper and meaningful connection to self and other.

Between sessions, savor exquisite in-home chef-prepared meals, crafted to nourish both body and soul with tantalizing flavors.  Take in  the desert’s rare beauty, an invitation to unwind, reflect, and reconnect. Whether you’re embracing stillness beneath the vast sky or sharing moments of laughter and growth, this retreat offers a rare opportunity to step away from the ordinary and into a world of intimacy, exploration, and sacred connection through the Art of Shibari.

What is Shibari?

Shibari, is the Japanese Art of tying the body in ropes.  More than just the technical tying of the ropes on the body, this retreat guides you to a way of movement, mood, emotion, and energetics at which one applies the rope to the body.

In this art, ropes cease to be mere bindings; they become conduits of introspection, channels through which we explore not just the physical form but the emotional landscape within. Shibari, to me, is a profound dialogue—a language of sensation and ties that speaks volumes about the human spirit and our connections with ourselves and others.

For many, being ensnared within the ropes offers a profound release—a moment of embodied presence, a respite from responsibilities, a sacred space to listen to one's own inner rhythms, to feel deeply, to surrender wholly, and to experience the tactile symphony upon the skin. It transforms into a meditation, a dance in a parallel universe, a realm distinct from the ordinary, offering interactions and intimacy that transcend the mundane.

Learn to Tie & Be Tied

In this retreat, participants will have the opportunity to experience both sides of the rope—the art of tying and the surrender of being tied. Designed for friends, lovers, partners, or any duo ready to explore together, this practice allows you to step into both roles and explore the dynamic interplay of polarity: the leader and the follower, the giver and the receiver, the masculine and feminine, the artist and the muse.

This immersive practice invites you to discover your strengths and vulnerabilities, desires, and needs, in each role. Through this embodied exploration, you’ll gain deeper insight into yourself and your partner, cultivating trust, balance, and a greater sense of connection and understanding. Embracing both sides of the rope offers a transformative journey into understanding polarity—where each role becomes a mirror, reflecting the beauty of both surrender and control.
